  • What is the first step to scheduling?

If you are interested in learning more about the practice and therapy, please contact: brooklynmindful@gmail.com or call: 917-740-6291. Consultations are 15 minutes, free and conducted over the phone. If you would like to proceed to schedule, email or call for available times and days.

  • Fees and Insurance?

Please contact us for fee information. We are out-of-network providers for all insurance plans. We will provide forms and help you seek out of network reimbursement.  Sliding scale is available on a limited basis.

  • How long are sessions?

One time consultations are 1.5 hours. Initial intake appointment (first session) is 1 hour. Ongoing therapy appointments are 45-50 minutes.

  • What can I expect from my first session?

The first session is a blue print for future appointments. Because the nature of this work is goal oriented, treatment goals are explored and set on a short term and long term basis. Also, individual needs are assessed during the first meeting and your history is discussed as it pertains to the presenting problem.

  • How frequently are sessions?

On average, sessions are once a week. Frequency depends on your individual needs. It may be recommended to meet twice a week. Ultimately, frequency depends on your preference.

  • How long does treatment last?

We provide short term solutions for existing problems. However, if you would like to stay in therapy after you feel initial goals have been met than you can continue meeting with your therapist.

  • What is your cancelation and reschedule policy?

We have a 24 cancelation and reschedule policy for all locations , services and teletherapy. If you do not reschedule or cancel within the 24 hour window, than you will be responsible for the full fee.
